The BTN Quarterly Newsletter

President's Letter
Welcome to our new fiscal 2025/2026 Fiscal Year!

As we conclude our activities for the 2024/25 fiscal year, it is an opportune moment to reflect on the accomplishments achieved over the past year.  I am so thankful to our volunteers who made the following major efforts happen:
  • We relaunched our website with much more updated and added content.
  • We reworked our financials, establishing a reserve fund for future projects, and reducing our tax burden.
  • We developed the website's backend platform, enabling us to streamline and automate communications with residents, invoices, membership directory management, and more.
  • We have created an automated membership invoice process that saves $$$, reduces volunteer time and allows us to fully track members and payments!
  • We established a focused initiative on branding and communication for Bent Tree North.
  • We relaunched both a Membership Directory and our Newsletter!!
Additionally, per the Treasurer’s Report, we ended FY 24/25 with a surplus which we have used to establish the Reserve fund.

For the newly started FY 25/26, we do have several projects that we would like to initiate.  But we can't do it without additional volunteers.  Are you interested in making a difference in BTN? Please consider joining one of our many HOA committees or the Board. Your thoughts and skills will make a difference in helping to shape important decisions that impact everyone living in BTN. To learn more about the different ways you can serve, CONTACT US, and select Total Board.

We’re pleased to have 378 members and to welcome ~25 new members. Unfortunately, we have not yet reached our required numbers to support the activities that you have indicated are important. Thank you again to all our members for paying the dues.   Your support is vital for maintaining our neighborhood’s security and infrastructure as well as all of our various projects/issues. If you have not yet paid, please do so HERE.

We do have an issue we all are working together, that being the potential Champions poker club. Thank you to the ~113 residents who came to the Town Hall on June 9.  A great turnout! For more details go HERE.

With summer upon us, many of us are traveling and a few of us are moving.  A new initiative that we are taking on for the FY 25/26 is to consistently reach out and welcome all new residents.  If your neighbor moves or you see someone moving in, please let us know in newly created NEW RESIDENTS section of our MESSAGE BOARD.

With so many of our residents traveling, we need to be extra vigilant when we are home.  Please help by calling 911, if you notice anything.   If you are aware of a particular incident, please let us know in newly created SECURITY ISSUES/CONCERNS section of our MESSAGE BOARD. This channel notifies the board and security of the essential information.  Security remains our top priority

Several residents have asked about the requirements for remodeling / solar panels / etc.  We have an Architectural Control Committee (ACC) for the neighborhood.  Read all about it HERE.

We are also very happy to report that we are relaunching both the Yard of the Month and the Pet of the Month! Thanks to those anonymous volunteers for doing this.

Many of you know that Susan Withrow has been leading the social activities for BTN for many years. She has decided that she will roll off the board in September to be able to travel and more importantly visit her first grandchild.  Susan will continue through the annual meeting in September including the July 4 parade/party that is always a highlight of the neighborhood.  We thank her for all her hard work over the many years and wish her the best … and we will try not to call her too much!

As a final note, future newsletters will be available only to current members.  If you haven’t paid, please do so!

Have a great month and say HELLO to your neighbors!
